Terms and Conditions

General - Before buying anything on the internet you are entitled to demand certain reassurances from your supplier. You can of course still rely on all your statutory rights under current consumer protection law but some things are best spelt out clearly in advance. We guarantee there are no sneaky, small print get-out clauses hidden anywhere else.

Privacy - We are commited to protecting your privacy and will only use the information we collect about you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We never have and never will disclose a buyer's information to third parties. We never send random marketing emails (spam) to anyone.

Cookies - We may use a standard web technology called “cookies” which allow us to recognize users on return visits. Cookies are small pieces of information stored on the users hard drive and not on our site. Most web browsers allow you to choose to reject all cookies if you wish to do so.
Cookies are used in the shopping section but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item.

Credit Card Security - All credit card numbers are encrypted on our software when an order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer and are not held in clear text on any website. We know of no safer system. However if you prefer not to trust this baffling technology you are very welcome to submit credit card details by phone, fax, email or post - or simply send us a cheque.

Shipping - Packages up to 2Kg in weight are despatched by First Class mail within the UK and by Airmail for overseas destinations. Express carriers are used for heavier consignments and in all cases the cost of packaging and delivery is included in the basic price.

Delivery Schedule - We prefer not to post perishable items on a Friday to avoid any possible delays over the weekend and for this reason we ask you not to request delivery on a Monday. For details of how quickly we can respond to urgent orders please click here and for a list of overseas countries to which we guarantee delivery click here.

Stock Problems - If the item you have ordered is out of stock we will let you know as soon as possible by email or phone and give you the option to cancel. In practice, this usually only ever happens to those who leave their Christmas order to the last minute.

Complaints Procedure - If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with the service you have received please Contact Us and your problem will be referred directly to the MD, Mike Ross Browne. He may not have all the answers but he does at least have the authority to make instant decisions. And he hates disappointing his customers. If you are still not happy you can always refer your complaint to TrustUK - their logo provides an instant link. We have agreed that any solution they propose will be binding on us.
